What is Tico?

Since 2012, tiko has been offering environmentally friendly solutions developed by its engineering teams in Zurich and Milan. Its solutions connect to existing electrical devicessuch as electric heaters or heat pumps, and adapting these old-generation devices into connected devices that save money and energy.

By remotely programming their electric heaters according to their lifestyle, 9.2 million households can save up to 35% on their energy costs. This translates into substantial savings since the heating consumption of these homes can reach €2,000/year.

With a free app, tiko sets the ideal temperature room by room, day by day and to the nearest quarter of an hour, optimizing energy. Customers adapt their heating preferences without affecting their comfort, as the solution guarantees a deviation of less than 1°C from their original set temperature.

The solution also stabilizes the grid during winter and frees up the capacity of existing power plants, resulting in significant CO2 savings.

Simplified installation and without work to connect the radiators.

Save up to 35% energy on heating. Program the temperature of each room with 15-minute precision according to your lifestyle. Control your consumption with the free Tiko app.

How it works?

When you get Tiko, you just need to install a small box on each radiator, then place the central unit in your main room.

Thanks to the app, you can easily program each radiator, room by room, day by day and with an accuracy of 15 minutes.

Imagine you have an office that you use to telecommute, so you don’t need it to be 19 ºC 24 hours a day. If you start work at 9:00, you can tell Tiko to stay at 3 °C while you are away, then to 19°C at 8:30 a.m. so that the room is warm when you arrive. If you take a break from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., you can of course ask for it to come down to 15°C during this period. In a 24 hour period, you can choose to heat for 7 or 8 hours at 19°C and the rest at 15°C. We know that lowering the temperature by one degree saves 7% on the bill: just do the math for an office equipped with Tiko.
