Based on the 182 wafer, the DeepBlue 4.0 X series includes three types of modules: a 54-cell module for residential PV systems and 72 and 78-cell modules for commercial and large-scale PV projects.
According to Kun Tang, Director of JA Solar’s Product Technology Department, JA Solar has been working on n-type technology for years, and after continuous investment in R&D and experimentation, it is finally ready for mass production. .
DeepBlue 4.0 X has already passed IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 tests and has been certified by TÜV SÜD, as well as salt spray, ammonia, sand and dust tests, proving its suitability for various applications and environments.
DeepBlue 4.0 X builds on the advancements of DeepBlue 3.0, but incorporates the latest technologies from JA Solar, including the Bycium+ cell, whose mass production efficiency can reach over 24.8% thanks to its substrate and structure High quality.
In addition, DeepBlue 4.0 X is equipped with patented GFI (Gateless Flexible Interconnect) high-density module encapsulation technology. The round ribbon design with damping treatment and optimized encapsulation material resists mechanical stress at cellular interconnects to eliminate the risk of microcracking, the company says.
Together we say DeepBlue 4.0 X has a maximum power that reaches 625W and an efficiency of up to 22.4%.
To verify the product’s power generation performance, JA Solar and TÜV NORD initiated a one-year (February 2021-February 2022) energy performance test at China Photovoltaic Test Center, Yinchuan Base.
The results show that the energy efficiency of the n-type module based on Bycium+ cells is 3.9% higher than that of p-PERC modules.
According to JA Solar PV system simulation data, compared to p-type modules, the BOS cost reduction of DeepBlue 4.0 X reaches 2.1% and LCOE 4.6%.
