It looks like a conventional bottle or thermos and uses non-polluting energy transform any water unfit for human consumption into drinking water.

Initially, the university conquered the national scene with the technology which produces water sterilized by radiation, with a filter loaded with sunlight (which does not generate pollutants).

Now, taking advantage of media coverage, Bárbara has participated in events and conferences with mentors, leaders, entrepreneurs and visionaries around the world to democratize and take her discovery to other countries.

For one of the jurors, the idea has the potential to transform our society, since many people in the world do not have access to drinking water.

Thus, innovation is a promise of social progress and dignity for the thousands of families living in conditions of vulnerability.

The idea for the project came from my master’s, where I study parasite sterilization by radiation, and I thought of applying it to help people in a simple and viable way,” Barbara said.

This opportunity to be the national champion has been amazing for my project because apart from helping me with development, it further helps to speed up the process and increase visibility,” he added.
