Mission San Francisco de Laishí is a town in Formosa founded on March 25, 1901 and located 70 kilometers from the provincial capital. According to the 2010 census, this place has 4,628 inhabitants.
Until 1946, a sugar factory operated in the area where sugar, corn flour, corn mash, cane syrup and cigarettes were produced. In addition, construction and carpentry work was carried out. It was a very important industrial center for the time.
